Narconon, known for being a leader in drug rehab and the prevention of substance abuse, has information available which can help addicts, family and friends understand addiction and what can be done. These books and videos can be especially helpful to those who are not able to become students in Narconon’s drug rehab program. Anyone wishing to learn more about the techniques used at the campuses is encouraged to try one of the Narconon books and videos.

There are also materials that are free or very low cost at the Narconon bookstores. There are materials especially suited toward children, teens and adult. Drug information kits can also be found at the bookstore sites.

Narconon has, for over 4 decades, been working with individuals, parents, teachers and communities to help educate the facts about alcoholism and drug abuse. Many informative articles are available free of charge on their websites.

Rehabilitation Program Learning Materials

In addition, the same books we use with our students are available to the public, such as the New Life Detoxification Program book. It explains the rationale and results of using sauna, vitamins and other nutrients to rid the body of unwanted toxins and drugs. In fact, all of our programs learning materials are available to be purchased.
Booklets for Substance Abuse Prevention

A helpful booklet for parents entitled “How to Talk to your Kid about Drugs", available at the Narconon Bookstore, helps parents talk to kids about the truth about drugs. It contains helpful information to inform the parent so they can have the facts when they talk with their kids.

A booklet called “Drug Facts” can be helpful for parents or teachers. It explains the different drugs, which are popular, and the effects of each drug. The last thing kids want to do is talk to an adult who is totally clueless about drugs. For younger children, "The Way to Happiness Activity Book" is an excellent way to introduce the 21 precepts (found in the Way to Happiness Booklet) to young children.

Know-How to Administer a Narconon Rehab Center

For those who may consider having their own Narconon facility, there are also many helpful materials to get more information and get started. “How to Open a Successful Narconon Center” is perhaps the first book to be read. Many of the facilities in existence today have been started by people who have been helped, or know someone who has been helped by the Narconon Program.
